湖北省总工会调查百余农民工讨薪遭围殴事件

本报讯 (见习记者 梁爽 通讯员 匡载舟)7月21日，西安市临潼区新丰镇召安村的118名湖北籍农民工在连续数天讨薪未果后，遭到300多名手持木棒的人围困殴打，30多位农民工被打伤，9人重伤。此事经媒体报道后，产生了较大的社会影响。

据了解，这118名工人在包工头的带领下，4月15日赴西安承接包头至西安铁路联络线西安市临潼区新丰段的桥涵工程。6月29日工程完工后，项目部没有按事先的承诺结清工程款，工资迟迟发不下来，农民工便开始了持续数天的讨薪之路。

7月21日中午，300多名系着红袖箍，手持木棒的人将工人住地团团围住。随后，他们将正在午睡的工人赶到院子外面进行殴打，整个过程持续将近40分钟，有些工人想跑出去，都被木棒给打了回来。最后造成30人被打伤，9人重伤。

事情发生后，湖北省总工会已经介入调查，启动了农民工异地维权联动机制。部分被殴农民工所在地襄樊市总工会了解案件情况后，要求南漳县总工会立即成立工作专班，昨日赴西安市临潼区解决农民工维权案件。
