Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao returned to Beijing on Sunday morning after visits to four European nations, and attending the 8th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).

Wen visited Greece, Belgium, Italy and Turkey from Oct. 2 to 9, at the invitation of Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During his stay in Brussels, Belgium, Wen attended the meetings of the 8th ASEM and the 13th China-European Union (EU) from Oct. 4 to 6.

Wen also met with his German counterpart Angela Merkel at the Meseberg Palace, 70 km north of Germany's capital of Berlin.

Wen's entourage also came back to Beijing.
