Increases the bookmark twitter facebook digg Google Windowslive Delicious buzz friendfeed Linkedin diigo reddit stumbleupon A senior U.S. diplomat is set to visit Seoul later Wednesday for talks with South Korean officials on issues related to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ( DPRK), local media reported Wednesday.Kurt Campbell, assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, is scheduled to meet with South Korea's Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jae-shin Thursday on issues including the DPRK's succession issues and bilateral ties between Seoul and Washington.
He is also expected to meet with Wi Sung-lac, Seoul's top envoy to six-party nuclear talks aimed at ending the DPRK's nuclear programs. The diplomat will leave Seoul on the same day.
