Just minutes away from the city by cable car, ferry or road, Singapore’s Island Resort is a 390-hectare recreational jewel boasting a kaleidoscope of attractions and activities. Formerly a fishing village turned British military base, Sentosa (meaning peace and tranquillity) was transformed into an idyllic island resort in 1972.
It is a unique blend of leisure and recreational experiences including family attractions, including Underwater World, wartime and natural history exhibits, water sports, scenic golf course as well as hotel accommodation and retreats.
A canopy of secondary rainforest covers 70% of the island and is home to monkeys, peacocks, parrots as well as other native fauna and flora.
Sentosa has a stretch of 3.2 kilometres of white sand beach, and is the only location in Singapore to offer beachfront accommodation and over 670 hotel rooms with full facilities.
The island can be reached by cable car, bus, taxi or car throughout the year. It is easy getting around the island. Take the complimentary bus, mini-train or monorail; or for the energetic, cycle or walk it’s invigorating!
