The coalition parties have remained united as they are still cooperating for the country, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said Tuesday, Thailand's Channel 9 Television reported.
Suthep, who is in charge of security affairs, was speaking in response to a news report saying that leading opposition Puea Thai Party chairman General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh was planning to meet with key figures of coalition parties in a bid to urge them to withdraw from the Democrat-led government.
Advisory chairman of coalition Chartthai Pattana Party and Deputy Prime Minister Sanan Kachornprasart echoed Suthep's statement saying that "no problem, we help each other (to work for the country)."
Meanwhile, Bhumjaithai Party leader and Interior Minister Chavarat Charnvirakul voiced the same tone emphasizing that "we will work together."
In a related development, Suthep said he is not worried about another red-shirted march on across Bangkok streets, which is planned for Saturday.
