一个老外为他8岁的孙子打造的作品...赞...!!!

看完之后只能赞叹啊...羡慕老外的工艺.希望国内的MODER们能学习一下了..!!

Zak's my 8yr old son and best freind! in amongst all the modding i endulge my self i promised to take some time out last school hols and share some Dad and Zak time modding him his own PC.

Zak had an ageing antec superlanboy, altho it wasnt a bad looking pc!had all the bling a 8yr old needs! Zak had asked if we could make hime somthing new

So! heres what we made together! it was a great way to spend a week and together we came up with some pretty cool ideas.

Zak's Hevy Plex super Lan boy.

I decided a new case was needed for what we had planned and a good supply of 6mm thick cut to size plex panels and tubes!

Next was to make the custom res's for this mod.

cut and prep the side plex panel, heax head bolts are use for an industrial look.

A top window is added using the same method

and the window side is done the same way to match

It was decided that would ditch the door in favour of somthing that would fit in with the rest of the mod.

Some Extra lighting was added to help light up the side tanks

Next was to bolt up the rad/fans and add the powerbus.

Using RCA type multiport to supply power to the fan, this powerbus will also supply power to what will be this mods main feature.

The main feature of the case will be custom made light leads that will supply light to the plex panels.

Custom leads have to be made for this.i call these,

Defyant Style Flex leads

the leads will plug into the rear power bus and can be used in a "hot swappable" way.

Double adaptors can be added to supply power to more leads.

Zak now has a feature of lighting effects he can change as he desires.

Next was to move onto an idea i used in HPR2 but this time i let Zak choose the choice of material to use.

Zak chose Mirror flex panel!

First thing was to cut a new facia panel

As can be seen also testing the "full blue Look" with his matrix orbital.

Mother Board Madness!

I'd used this mod on HPR2 effectively.

Using a template made from more "seethru" plex material i made a template for what will be Zak's mirror plate mother board stealth cover!

simple scoring method was used to bend the mirrow plex and hot glue was used to reinforce the inner scorings.

Also a matching "dummy back panel" was made.

Fitting up the cover and back panel

wire sleeving!

At this point i'd relised i'd need to add some power to supply is X800 toxic card.

a molex was modded and added to the side dummy wall.

While the back wall was out, i'd also decided to add a Vent to the top of the stealth cover.

bolt it all back in add the wireing. starting to take shape!

Next was to add the plumbing.... Getting this to look "just right" was a must! as this was going to act, with lighting as the main internal feature of the mod.

some nice "flowing" curves were added to the plumbing...

Next was also to rip the platic protective coating off the mirror plex!

We were impressed!!

a super clean looking area with flowing curves and sharp lines.

Light Moods!

time had come to let Zak play with his new toys!

With a single LED directing light thru the back of the case , the mirror pansl do thyr job and refelct light back onto the clear water tubes!

the effect is almost stunning.

Lights Out!

Next was time for a lights out test

the first light display id of the outer case using the Blue LEDS and the iner being lit with a red. Cool outer with a hot engine room

Next was some cooool internals with a hot exterior

Some Diff Res effects, all cool water or water thats cool at the bottem and hot uptop!

The combo's are endless and to this day Zak still has fun swapping and changing giving the mod some longentivity, wich isnt easy when your dealing with 8yrolds!

heres a shot of Zaks full setup with matching monitor

and one more of the Happy chappy himself
