Headmaster's Statement

Ribét Academy, much like the city in which it is located, is a school for the twenty-first century. Our diverse and vibrant student body truly reflects the melting pot that is Southern California. While we appreciate and value the unique attributes of each student at Ribét, we also strive to foster a sense of community and a sense of belonging in all of our students.

The goal at Ribét is to prepare our students for the many challenges that they will face in college, as well as in the ever-changing present world. We do this by instilling a desire in the form of intellectual curiosity and a longing for knowledge in our students. We teach our students to be resourceful and adaptable by providing a balanced program that combines rigorous academics that crosses subject boundaries with a wide variety of extra-curricular activities that stimulate both body and mind. Our multi-faceted curriculum emphasizes learning beyond the textbooks and our numerous enrichment activities enhance the educational experience by giving students the opportunity to explore their interests and enhance their talents. Ribét students engage in stimulating field trips, musical and dramatic performances, art shows and sports as well as our award winning science fair.

Teachers at Ribét realize that student development is more than test scores. We promote character education and insist on personal responsibility. Respect, kindness and trust are infused in the fabric of our school community. Ribét offers a nurturing environment that values the individual yet promotes the concept of community and family.

I would encourage any interested students and families to visit our campus and to meet with our students, parents and faculty. A stroll through our hallways reveals student artwork, class projects and essays that demonstrate and celebrate student achievement. These achievements serve to document our goal of preparing students for their next level of education as well as for leadership roles in the limitless challenges and opportunities that life will present them in the future.
