According to the U.S. Global Strategic Network reported Nov. 30: A South African company called MLS is preparing to sell China 11 anti-mine and counter-ambush vehicles (MRAP). South Africa insisted China should also spend on technology transfer of these vehicles. It is reported that the reason for China agreed to the request of South Africa is that they want access to relevant technologies.

China has reportedly explored access to military technology. However, Western countries tend to take China as "outsiders", so China can only get the required technology by the means of arms purchase. But sometimes this approach will lead to legal and diplomatic disputes with the suppliers.

Reported that the Chinese are often as much as possible from any place to get the required technology, South Africa had a target. The latest example of China is working to develop the WZ-10 attack helicopter

China built eight WZ-10 prototypes last year. The project began in the 1990s, but in the development process, China encountered technical problems. China would like to buy from South Africa its "stone kestrel" armed helicopters, and then master the core technologies of the jet’s parts without paying any fees, remarks South African side. In addition, South Africa says some Chinese enterprises have also made copies of South Africa’s missiles, and artilleries and electronic devices.
