54.We went out night, to shoot this bridge stuff and try to get the carjumped divide and go the opposite direction, so pretty much this iscombination of this poor-man-process shoots and some second unit
这个场景是在夜间实地拍的，表现车越过隔离带进入相反车道，而并不是评论字幕中所说的假拍。科波拉说这段第二摄制组的戏和前面的“穷人版”很好的衔接了在一起。

With a wonderful effect man, by the name of A.D. Flowers, worked with us and did many genius device that abled us to do this.
片中的暴力场景科波拉尽量做到详细真实，而不是随随便便。这里的枪击场景可见一斑。但在我看来，教父根本不是一部靠特效取胜的影片，教父的优秀在于故事和演员的表演，不过片中的特效仍不能小视。科波拉什么事情都做到最好的精神值得大家学习，我相信这已是当时所能做到的最好的枪击场景了，而且今天看来依然震撼人心，不过我觉得演员的表演张力占了大部分，再加上特效才造就了震撼。说到这里的特技就不能不提A.D.弗老沃斯，这是他的功劳，可惜评论字幕里完全没有提到。他在《教父》中用糖浆、肥皂和染料制作的假血成了后人的范本。1971年凭《虎！虎！虎！》获奥斯卡最佳视觉特效奖，他参与过的著名影片还包括老版《海神号》、《1941》。此公2001年7月5日逝世，照片很不好找。这张是《海神号》的拍摄现场，后面那位应该是他吧。算算，到现在为止《教父》里有多少人获得过奥斯卡奖了
