54.We went out night, to shoot this bridge stuff and try to get the carjumped divide and go the opposite direction, so pretty much this iscombination of this poor-man-process shoots and some second unit
这个场景是在夜间实地拍的,表现车越过隔离带进入相反车道,而并不是评论字幕中所说的假拍。科波拉说这段第二摄制组的戏和前面的“穷人版”很好的衔接了在一起。

科波拉坦言看到这里他就想笑,因为这里的高机位完全是他的主意。因为科波拉想让观众看见地板,他还特意叫美工组的人拆掉原来的地板,并铺上亚麻油地板。而摄影戈登非常不喜欢这样做。

This was actually bathroom in that restaurant, but we may haveput that wooden unit with the chain, because I know that Clemenzadescribed is it been, you know, old fashion toilet with chain thing,I’m not sure, we shot actually in the restaurant on those two days,Wednesday and Thursday, I speak of, but maybe the art department, I’msurely the art department put there for me.

片中的暴力场景科波拉尽量做到详细真实,而不是随随便便。这里的枪击场景可见一斑。但在我看来,教父根本不是一部靠特效取胜的影片,教父的优秀在于故事和演员的表演,不过片中的特效仍不能小视。科波拉什么事情都做到最好的精神值得大家学习,我相信这已是当时所能做到的最好的枪击场景了,而且今天看来依然震撼人心,不过我觉得演员的表演张力占了大部分,再加上特效才造就了震撼。说到这里的特技就不能不提A.D.弗老沃斯,这是他的功劳,可惜评论字幕里完全没有提到。他在《教父》中用糖浆、肥皂和染料制作的假血成了后人的范本。1971年凭《虎!虎!虎!》获奥斯卡最佳视觉特效奖,他参与过的著名影片还包括老版《海神号》、《1941》。此公2001年7月5日逝世,照片很不好找。这张是《海神号》的拍摄现场,后面那位应该是他吧。算算,到现在为止《教父》里有多少人获得过奥斯卡奖了
