硅碳棒的电气性能
硅碳棒具有较大的比电阻,在空气中通电加热,发热部表面温度1050±50℃时,电阻率为600-1400Ω-mm2/M.硅碳棒的电阻随温度升高而变化,从室温到800℃。电阻-温度特征曲线为负值,温度高于800℃为正值。

硅碳棒表面负荷大小与其使用寿命长短关系很大,因此,在通电加热时要严格控制在允许负荷范围之内,切忌超负荷使用。
硅碳棒发热部表面温度与相应炉温下,发热部单位表面允许负荷如上表。
气氛对硅碳棒的影响
炉内气氛对硅碳棒电热元件的使用寿命有重要影响,硅碳棒在使用过程中逐步氧化产生SiO2,分隔SiC结晶颗粒,局部电阻增大、体积膨胀,直至最后断裂。
硅碳棒电热元件在干燥洁净空气中连续使用(1450℃)寿命可达2000小时。
