《巍巍毛泽东》：“毛泽东出生于中华民族命运最为黑暗沉重之岁月。他发宏愿，立雄心，养浩气，救万民。立足湘江，胸纳寰宇，北游红楼，南结黄埔，东谋建党盛举，西挽灭顶危局。遇千难而不挫，经百战而愈奋。终成一代民族舵手，驱倭寇，扫民贼，新中国乃巍巍然崛起东方。毛氏毕生，与庶民同呼吸，谋国家千秋业，戒骄戒腐，反帝反霸。一穷二白之赤县，转为粮油滚滚，钢花烁烁，书声琅琅，欢歌阵阵之强邦。更有两弹一星，护民万福，哲思雄文，厚馈子孙。华夏神州之命运，已跃出低谷，冉冉行天矣。”

    有美国朋友翻译如下，并评说孔教授的文字太具有中华特点了，只能翻译成这样了：

    Shining Mao Zedong

    Mao Zedong was born during the darkest moment of Chinese history.  When he was young, he was hopeful and determined to save the world.  Starting from Xiang River, he expanded his voyage well beyond boundaries, ranging from Forbidden City up North, to Huang Pu Military Academy down South, establishing the Communist Party in the East and saving the Coup crisis in the West.  He never believed in giving up.  Despite numerous setbacks, he became stronger and more determined to persevere.  Thanks to his fierce fights, he emerged as a true leader of Chinese people.  He led the army to victory against the Japanese invasion during World War II, and won the Civil War against Kuomintang.  He proudly established the new People’s Republic of China in the orient where the sun rises.  During his entire life, he kept his people in his heart.  He built the new country’s infrastructure.  Keeping a humble attitude and warning against corruption, he led the country through fights against imperialism and world dominance.  China stepped out of its barren misery and turned into a powerhouse where people consumed grains from their own soil and used resources from their own land.  Children enjoyed free education and the country was on its way to prosperity.  China also built its own nuclear weapons and sent its own satellite to space.  People felt safe and protected.  Mao was a poet and well read and his philosophical works continue to inspire new generations of China. The new China under his leadership came out of its darkest moment, and became a new shining star of the world.

今读《巍巍毛泽东》，想起了多年前写过的一幅对联，敬呈求教：屈子问天天何在？斯人求道道于民。……先忧后乐其实并非范文正公的首创。如今就单表个毛泽东吧，‘全心全意为人民服务’，说得多么简单多么明白多么实在啊，而且是言行合一，做得那就更好啦。我想，如果范文正公地下有知，一定会把毛润之同学大大加以表扬一番，或曰：先忧后乐，汝当与归！孔老师以为然否？……孔老师短短一篇《巍巍毛泽东》，区区186个字，把伟人一生就概括全啦，佩服佩服！谢谢谢谢！英文翻译不了不难想见，也不足惜！只怕是很多讲中文读汉语的也看不完全明白，看得明白的可能正在酝酿向你发起2008冬季总攻哦。……”
