DPRK newspaper lauds Shanghai Expo

Rodong Sinmun, the leading official newspaper of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Tuesday praised the Shanghai World Expo for its outstanding activities and the deep impression it had made on the world.
The newspaper, in an article, said the expo broke the tradition of holding world expos in developed countries, arousing the attention and expectation of the world, and served "a glorious page" in the history of world expos.
The Shanghai Expo is not only an exhibition of new products and scientific achievements, but also a display of latest science, social development, economy and an international stage of communication and learning, it said.
China showed its power and development level to the world through the Shanghai Expo, deepening the worldwide understanding of China, it added.
The article said the Shanghai Expo had made great contributions to communication and cooperation among different countries, strengthened the friendship among developing countries, and would be remembered forever.
