神马文学网China strengthens climate monitoring of Mt. Qomolangma

Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) pumped huge investments in climate surveying and monitoring of Mt. Qomolangma, the world's highest peak.
Early in 2005, CAS built up the world's first monitoring project - Comprehensive Observatory on Atmosphere and Environment of Mt.Qomolangma in the vicinity of Himalayas Mountain areas.
Since the establishment of the station, CAS has placed large quantities of equipment into the observatory station.
In the past few years, researchers at the station have launched many projects on observation of the atmosphere, environment and geophysical processes near Mt.Qomolangma.
Also, comprehensive studies have been conducted on the relations between the above fields and global climate change with satisfactory results.
