People's Daily editorial hails anniversary of Chinese Communist Party
People's Daily, the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is to publish an editorial Saturday, to mark the 85th founding anniversary of the country's ruling Party with over 70 million members.

Mao Zedong proclaims the founding of the PRC on October 1, 1949.Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, a holy place for the Chinese revolution. The Nanchang Uprising gives birth to PLA's predecessor, the Red Army on 1 August 1927.A sightseeing boat on Jiaxing's South Lake is the birth place of the CPC.
