一支芭蕾舞的舞蹈队和一支街舞组合被迫共用一个训练场。因为要准备全国冠军赛，这支街舞队不得不和芭蕾舞的舞蹈演员们挤在一起训练，只有这样，他们才能得到免费的训练场地。
高贵的芭蕾、草根的街舞，这本是两个毫无瓜葛并且还有些不共戴天的舞蹈形式就这么走到了一起。起先跳芭蕾的演员和跳街舞的演员还相互有着不小的敌视和戒备心理，还互相提防着对方。一段时间之后，这群年轻人就成为了好朋友，打成了一片。在大赛来临前夕，街舞队终于从芭蕾舞中学到了不少舞蹈技巧，他们改良了街舞，把芭蕾舞的元素融入其中。
影片的高潮是街舞冠军赛，这支和芭蕾舞团朝夕相处的街舞队能拿到梦寐以求的冠军么？
为了夺得全英国街舞大赛的冠军，一只街舞队不得不和皇家舞蹈学院的芭蕾舞团共用一个排练场地！由于时间的安排和不同类型的舞蹈，两个舞团经常发生冲突。可是随着双方相互逐渐了解，街舞团的队长和芭蕾舞的领队的关系发生了微妙的转变——两个人都渴望实现各自的梦想。于是他们最后决定两个舞团合作，相互帮助，共同参赛达成彼此的梦想！

Street Dance 3D is the first full action 3D film to be made in Britain and revolves around an urban dance crew forced to partner up with ballet dancers and stars both 2008 & 2009 Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity and George Sampson, as well as runner’s up Flawless. The soundtrack album includes hits from Cheryl Cole, N-Dubz and Pixie Lott, with both songs taken from the film and a host of associated hits from the likes of Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk & Ironik.
