They sell different things.为小学新标准英语教材第9册的教学内容。本单元的教学内容由三部分组成。第一部分是学习关于英国的超市的一篇课文,介绍有关于英国学校的一些常规。第二部分,介绍本课的重点句型What dou y ou want?,是对重点句型的灵活运用。 第三部分,Chant . What dou y ou want?
学生分析
我们班有40个学生,这些学生经过四年多的英语学习,大多数有了对于语言的初步积累,学习兴趣浓厚,部分学生具有接受语言快、运用语言灵活的能力,但也有少数学生在学习中缺乏主动性,知识掌握不扎实。在本课,学生想了解的知识不仅是课本所涉及的知识,同时希望接触更多信息。总体上,学习者愿意在英语学习中掌握更多的知识,找到更多的快乐。主动探究新知的意识很好。
设计理念
激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神。
教学要求
全班学生在教师的引导下,通过积极的参与与小组合作学习,绝大多数学生能够学会阅读该篇课文,部分学生能够对于What dou y ou want?句型灵活加以运用。
教学目标
1.语言知识目标:
引导学生学习本课课文;使学生掌握What dou y ou want句型;学习认读书写单词:sell, restaurant ,sometimes 与 restaurant。
2. 语言技能目标:
使学生能够根据指令做动作, 在图文或场景下进行简单的英语交流和表演。
3. 情感态度目标:
通过探究、体验、合作等途径,使学生参与其中,乐于学习。
4.文化意识目标:
引导学生了解英国超市的情形。
重点、难点
重点:该课的课文学习。
难点:学生对于课文中的名词单复数辨认。
情景表演。学生将知识灵活运用及展示。
教学方法
游戏教学法,分组竞赛法,情景教学法,小组合作学习法

教学过程设计
Step 1. Warm-up
Greet with Students.
Sing the song Can you play very well with Ss.
Step 2. Prview
Show Ss a basketball .
T:Whose ball is it ?
S1: It’s mine .
T: Where did you buy it ?
Ss answer .
T:What’s this ?
Ss answer .
T:Where can we buy it ?
Ss answer .
T:Is there anything else can we bury in the supermarket ?
Let Ss discuss in 4 groups.
Let Ss answer.
T:Yes. We can buy lots of things in the supermarket .
They sell different things.
(Write the theme on the blackboard.)
T: We have many supermarkets in China. Some are big . Some are small. What about English supermarket ?Go and have a look .
Step 3 . Presentation
1. Ss read the text in small groups . Try to help each other about the text .
2. Let Ss listen to the text .
3. Ss listen to the tape about the text .
4. Ss listen and repeat .
5. Ss read the text in small groups again .
6. Teach Ss  the words supermarket and restaurant.
7. Ss read the text together . Ss say  the sentence by playing  games .
1)Many English supermarkets are very big .
Ss read the sentence three times and the speed is faster and faster . Then have a match between 2 groups .
2)They sell different things.
Ss read the sentence from the beginning to the end. Each time one more word. Match between 2 groups.
3)They sell food from lots of countries.
Game. Invite 2 Ss from each group to choose one thing from the basket each time . Ss read the sentence five  times. See who can get more things. The winner will get more stars. 4)They also sell clothes ,toys and CDs.
Ss read several times. Match between boys and girls .
5)Sometimes there are restaurants at the supermarket .
Ss read line by line .
6) Many families go to the supermarket together.
Game. Ss stand from rows to lines.
Match in 4 Ss from each group.
Ss read ,spell the words, then read the sentence loudly .
8.Ss read the text together .
Step 4. Drill
Act . Go shopping.
Do as the model. Then Ss act .
Do exercises on Activity Book.
Say the chant . What do you want .
Step 5 . Consolidation and extension  .
1.Give the brief summary about the whole class.
2.Assign homework .
Go to the supermarket and find more things we can buy.
