神马文学网年轻摄影师的24条忠告

今年三月，"光圈"基金会在纽约举办了一个研讨会，就最受关注的"年轻摄影师如何谋生"进行了探讨。最后，美国视觉艺术学院摄影系硕士项目的负责人Charles Traub，进行了总结，提出了"做什么，不做什么"的建议。
一共15条“应该做什么（Do）”，9条“不要做什么（Don't）”，无论对即将走上职业摄影师道路年轻人，还是普通的摄影爱好者，这24条建议都有不小的借鉴作用。
1.苦寻创意时，试试传统的方法
Do something old in a new way.
2.循规蹈矩时，试试新颍的方法
Do something new in an old way;
3.犹豫不决时，试试不同的方法。总之，不停的尝试，尝试
Do something new in a new way. Whatever works, works;
4.把照片拍清楚----如果做不到，就管那些叫"艺术"
Do it sharp—if you can’t, call it art;
5.这样持续拍出50张----肯定能做一个展览
Do fifty of them—you definitely will get a show;
6.制作大幅照片----不然，就让它更具特色
Do it big—if you can’t do it big, do it red;
7.当你不知道该拍些什么，就不停的观察
If you don’t know what to do, look up, or down—but continue looking.

Edit it yourself.
9.亲自设计
Design it yourself.
10.亲自联系出版
Publish it yourself.
11.多读书，扩充你的思维。读达尔文、马克思、弗洛伊德、麦克卢汉、爱因斯坦、或者本雅明、罗兰﹒巴特

Construct your images from the edges inward.
13.如果你要表现"真实"，请用彩色
If it’s the “real world,” do it in color.
14.能用数码则用数码
If it can be done digitally, do it.
15.充满自信，全身心投入，不惜一切代价的拍好照片。
Be self-centered, self-involved, and generally entitled and always pushing—and damned to hell for doing it.
16.不要拍摄自己，朋友或家人
Don’t do it about yourself, your friend, or your family.
17.不要冒险拍摄自己的裸体
Don’t dare photograph yourself nude.
18.不要总看以前的家庭相册
Don’t look at old family albums.
19.不要手工上色
Don’t hand color it.

21.不要制作时不停实验----没有信心就用电脑来
Don’t use alternative processes—if it ain’t straight, do it in the computer.
22.不要画蛇添足----少即多
Don’t gild the lily—a.k.a, less is more.
23.不要拍摄穷困潦倒的人----尤其在外国
Don’t photograph indigent people—especially in foreign lands.
24.不要抱怨----坚持你的事业
Don’t whine, Just produce.
