　　how I did it? fairly simple if you’re big enough not to collapse. Take a friend on your back, with his arms around your neck, holding the kid. You get up, lifting everyone... and then, the funny part... you start spinning and, with your 2 free hands, you shoot!!!
　　
　　more pieces of advice, in case your back is weak: use the time program, set it between 1/30 - 1/50 of a second, place yourself in the shade of a tree (not too close!!!! poor little and shortened guy!) to avoid over exposure. you can use the rapid capture mode.

　　Photo of the Year, 2001? Man, they didn’t know what a homecoming *was* in 2001! You haven’t seen a real homecoming until you’ve seen a kid spend two years in the desert heat, bullets flying, getting smacked in the face by a buddy’s leg blown off by an IED. Getting your tour extended anyway because hey, even if you get stuck in a tent in some training compound, you still count as another troop and the tally still appears to be clean and robust. Finally, you get sent back to the states, and you get a little recovery room at Walter Reid. Shit, if this kind of thing gets ’photo of the year’, I’d love to see the judges’ faces when they see *this* year’s photos.

　　A little over 50 people died in the tsunami in the small fishing village where my teacher Amma was born. In other places in India where there were so many more deaths, Hindus were buried in mass graves. This is very inauspicious for a Hindu. Amma gave the villagers a mass cremation.
