A unique "color psychological hint weight-loss method" has recently become very popular on the Internet. It is said that by looking at the pictures, people can feel their appetite decreased. Some netizens even jokingly said that people will obtain a better body by transmitting the pictures.

According to sources, there are two weight-loss pictures spreading on the Internet. One is a picture of a colorful jellyfish which is said to be able to calm nerves and promote gastrointestinal peristalsis. The other is an abstract painting mixed with black and yellow which is said to be able to decrease people's appetite by the contrast of the two colors. "Yellow can affect the stomach and black can affect the kidney. When the two colors are combined, it can decrease people's appetite."

Netizens also expressed their own opinions. "I do not take weight-loss drugs but lose weight by looking at pictures," a netizen said.

Although netizens are not quite convinced about the slimming effect of the pictures, it has not stopped the pictures from being spread on the Internet. The pictures have been transmitted on netizens' microblogs more than 20,000 times so far.

Lu Aixia, a psychological counselor, said that she did not see the pictures or launch a professional study. Therefore, she will not draw a conclusion on the effects. However, she said that psychological implications form when people see the pictures and will indeed have an effect on certain people.
