Ged Quinn

英国艺术家 Ged Quinn ，1963年生于利物浦。他先后在牛津大学鲁斯金艺术学院、伦敦斯雷德艺术学校、德国杜塞尔多夫艺术学院、荷兰阿姆斯特丹皇家视觉艺术学院学习，现居英国康沃尔。Quinn 的超现实主义作品总是包含许多复杂的典故，涉及宗教、政治、独裁、失败等不同主题。自从2004年在泰特博物馆举办名为“乌托邦废托邦”的展览后，其作品受到世界各地高端收藏家以及许多公共收藏机构的青睐。 在绘画之余，他还是利物浦当地的乐队“野天鹅”的键盘手。

English artist Ged Quinn was born in1963 in Liverpool. He studied at the Ruskin in Oxford, the Slade School of Art in London, the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. He is currently residing and working from Cornwall, UK. Quinn’s surreal depictions contain many complex references to religion, politics and dictatorship as well as failure. Quinn had his first UK exhibition Utopia Dystopia at the Tate St. Ives in 2004 since then has had almost all of his work purchased by various high profile collectors as well as remaining in a handful of reputable public collections. Quinn was also the keyboard player in the Liverpool band The Wild Swans.
