Rolando Mendoza was the main Hostage taker and culprit of the Manila Hostage Drama where about eight person died on 23 rd August 2010.Rolando Mendoza was a former police officer aged 55, was honoured in the year 1986 as one of the Top 10 Police officer in the country.But this person only discharged from his job in 2008 for the charge of extortion and Robbery.

Rolando Mendoza was born in the year 1955 ,January 10 in Naic ,Cavite.He was having a son named Andrew of 33 years and a daughter Mary grace who is 27 years old and working in a call center.His yoounger son Bismark is a Police officer.His Brother is a senior inspector 4,named Gregorio Mendoza.

In the year Febrauary 2009,Rolando Mendoza was dismissed by Ombudsman with other five officers.Rolando Mendoza found a decorated Police officer who faced the accusation of chef Christian Kalaw.Its been reported that Mendoza forced Kalaw to take Metamphitiane hydrochloride.Thus after dimissal of his jobs he lost all the benefits of his jobs.

Mendoza, 55, was armed with a M16 rifle, kept police at bay for 12 hours. A Swat team stormed the bus when he began opening fire on his captives, at least six of whom survived. Mendoza was killed in the assault.
