应用：
如果你认识主耶稣作你的救主，这句经文提醒你继续将你所有的需要都投靠主。当你相信主而永远得救的那天是多么美好。你知道没有人能给你永远的生命，所以你相信靠耶稣来拯救你。天父要你在智慧、能力，你每天的需要、平安……继续来投靠他。没有人能像天父那样帮助你！他不仅是全能的，更是知道什么东西对你最好。
如果你还没有相信主耶稣，你死的时候有什么可以投靠的呢？只有神能宽恕你所有的罪并救你脱离罪永远的刑罚。现在就到“怎样成为天父的孩子”那个部分，并跟着那些步骤做吧。

But Helen was growing more and more confused to hear Mrs. Jones making comments that science had proved the Bible was not true. Mrs. Jones said intelligent people did not need to believe in God.
Our Bible verse today would really help Helen!
Presentation: Psalm ll8:8 says “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
Explanation: Can you find two words in the memory verse that mean the same thing?
Did you guess “trust” and “confidence”? It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man. There are many ways we put trust in man (or people). We trust their word, their help, their strength, etc. Can you put those words in the verse too? For example, “It is better to trust in the Lord’s Word than to trust in man’s word.” Now do the words “help” and “strength”. This will help you understand the meaning of the verse.
Application: If you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior, let this verse remind you to continue trusting in the Lord for all your needs. There was the wonderful day when you trusted in the Lord for your eternal salvation. You know no human being could ever give you eternal life, so you trusted the Lord Jesus to save you. God wants you to continue trusting in Him for wisdom, for strength, for your daily needs, for safety, etc. People will never be able to help you like God can! He is not only all-powerful, but He knows what is best for you.
If you have never believed on the Lord Jesus, what are you trusting to take care of you when you die? God is the only One Who can forgive all your sins and save you from sin’s everlasting punishment. Go now to “How to be a Child of God” and follow those steps.
Repetition: Beginning and ending with the reference, will you say this verse 7 times without stopping? Then write down the first letter of each word, including the reference,
and see if you can say the verse with just the first letters for clues. Review the verse often this week. This week when you are tempted to listen to people who do not believe in the Lord Jesus, remember this verse. Our Creator God knows everything, and can do anything. Put your total trust in Him!
Never put your trust in man,
He can never do what Jesus can!
