The AECT 2010 International Convention.
The AECT 2010 International Convention, 'Cyber Change: Learning In Our Connected World' has concluded. Many thanks are due to the convention planners, volunteers and staff in making this a great success. The convention registration and the convention program will remain online for a limited time in case the attendees still need to print receipts or obtain program information.

Welcome AECT Members - to Community of Academic Virtual Educators (CAVE) Island

AECT_SL hosted Sessions on CAVE Island during the 2010 convention.

All sessions were held simultaneously available in SL (Pacific Time) in the Cloud 9 Meeting Center before and during the convention week.

One of the major highlights at this year’s convention was the AECT-SL Library Dedication event held during the 2010 Convention in Anaheim. The library was originally erected in 2006 by Ross Perkins during his time at Virginia Tech University. After Dr. Perkins relocated to Boise State University in 2009 he moved the library from its orignal location off the SL mainland to C.A.V.E. Ilsand. The extensive repository of teaching tools relocation is part of the ongoing efforts to increase Teaching and Learning accessibility to the members of the C.A.V.E. Island. A formal dedication of the library to affiliates of C.A.V.E Island and AECT_SL was held at this year's convention.

Each time we post an in-world event, you will be sent an invitation in-world and an email notice informing you of when and where to join AECT on CAVE Island.

The VWC has been to work with AECT Division Affiliates to develop the personal division meeting spaces on C.A.V.E. Island. If there are areas in need of furnishing and decorating we are still available to assist each group. Contact your Division Communication affiliate today, and share your ideas for your division's personal in-world meeting space.
