神马文学网Beijing donates books for Chamdo Prefecture

To mark the 60th anniversary of Chamdo's Liberation, a book donation activity was organized by Beijing Aid-Tibet Association, in which various kinds of books worth 1.5 million yuan have been collected.
Yang Yaoxiang, an official from Chamdo Prefecture Administrative Office said, "we feel warm and being cared by our people and the motherland thanks to the book donation."
"Sixty years ago, Chamdo was successfully liberated after the war for peace talks led by the CPC Central Committee and former Chairman Mao Zedong, which laid a solid foundation for the peaceful liberation of Tibet," Mao Rubai from Beijing Aid-Tibet Association said.
Nowadays, as the first place where the national flag was raised in Tibet, Chamdo Prefecture has developed rapidly and steadily into a society enjoying ethnic unity, harmony, stability as well as people's well-being.
