A Chinese business delegation is in Mozambique for talks of cooperation with government officials.

The 16-member delegation, which arrived on Thursday, will be received in the capital Maputo by Minister of Planning and Development Aiuba Cuereneia, the government said.

During its 10-day stay, the team from the Chinese major city of Shanghai will tour various economic projects and check the country' s business potentialities.

The delegation is scheduled to visit Catembe, off Maputo Bay, where a new city is projected, as well as Magude and Manhica districts of the southern province of Maputo.

Chokwe district is another place for the Chinese delegation to pay a visit.

State radio has reported that Chinese businessmen from Shandong province want to invest in the building of a cement factory.
