我常说世界上的任何一件事与物都可以NG重来，只有生命一去不覆返，所以生命依然高于一切。要知道没有任何一个工作是无法取代的，你累了、你垮了，明天马上有人会来接替你的工作，这是再自然不过的道理。朋友！请珍惜我们的健康、珍惜我们的生命和珍惜我们的家人。希望藉这篇文章，让仍然徘徊在工作和家庭之间一直难以取舍的朋友有个新的方向。
今天我们可以使用这么快捷与方便的网络和在世界各个角落的朋友交流，应该感谢幕后的网络人。一提到IT（信息技术）产业，就会让人羡慕IT人的收入。我有不少搞这些高科技产业的朋友；我的感觉是即使年收入千万元，也比不上我老爸的年代，一个年收入十万元的人，过得都比他们快乐与自在。和这些朋友交往，不要说一起喝杯咖啡聊个天，即使通个电话，往往也草草了事，没有一点生活情趣，我真的替他们叫屈。
难怪有人会戏称IT就是“I am tired.”的缩写。博客网的CEO方东兴给该产业人所下的批注是“人生如狗”听了令人触目惊心。他引述了国外某本书的说法：“互联网的时间刻度是以狗年来计算的，IT人的一年相当于普通人的7年”由此可见IT人另一个辛酸面。想到这里，我们就该感到幸福与知足了。
前些日子，听好友郭承丰先生讲了一段“轶闻”虽未经证实；但是其意境我迫不及待要和大家分享。话说 国父孙中山先生在得知自己罹患肝癌后，有一回召集于右任等大老在南京雨花台餐叙。当时窗外正下着绵绵细雨，他老人家兴致一来吟了一句诗“五月黄梅天”要大家对下联，结果没有人接下去。几个月以后，国父病逝于协和医院。此时，大家才懊恼不已，原来当时 国父是想趁有生之年与好友大家共饮一杯。这也是酒商的广告词：“五月黄梅天，三星白兰地”之由来也。是否真是如郭先生所言，在我看来其实已经不重要了。读了本篇文章，您对人生还有什么好抱怨的呢？何不马上拿起电话约几个好友，现在就放下手边的工作，喝杯咖啡去。
题目：Shall we go for coffee or tea?
（我们去喝杯咖啡或茶，好吗？） How many of us actually take the time from our busy mental lives to just say a hello to the friends that matter or maybe were once a very important part of our lives? Take the time today to just drop those a quick hello.

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
（教授再拿着一盒小石子倒入罐子里面。很快地小石子都滚进了高尔夫球的空隙里面。他再问同学灌子已装满了吗？大家都说罐子是满着。）
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
（接下来，教授拿着一盒细砂倒入罐子里面。当然，这一次沙子很快地又充满了罐子里面的空隙。他再问同学罐子已装满了吗？大家都一致说“是的”。）
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else---the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you. "Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
